LTM has been at the forefront of building confidence in the community through the Power of Mentoring - Helping communities to help themselves - that's the aim of our community mentoring programmes. LTM trains committed individuals from the community to become qualified mentors and join our pool of Mentors. LTM is able to draw upon this pool of qualified mentors to offer customised mentoring support to fellow members of the community who need that extra help with a fresh pair of eyes and ears for a situation. All of our mentoring is conducted with the utmost confidentiality and designed to renew community spirit.
We work firmly on the belief that local community members (supported by a wide partnership of professionals) are in the best position to help their fellow community members. We also actively seek mentors with a wide range of life-experiences and empathy from diverse backgrounds. With such expertise - and flexibility - we are able to respond to a wide range of needs, issues and guidance on:
